What new networks and collaborations can accelerate the next decade of climate and nature action?

Earlier this year, the Sustainability Accelerator launched ‘The Rift’, a research cycle which explores how the climate and nature transition might evolve to navigate the new realities of a post 1.5 degree world.

As part of this work, this year’s UnConference brings together a range of stakeholders, to explore the vital role non-state actors can play in this crucial moment. From visionary city mayors and community movements, to pioneering voices in finance and business, non-state actors are already playing a crucial role in the transition.

At the event, participants identify inspirational and effective examples from around the world, and explore how innovative forms of partnership and collaboration can accelerate progress during this complex and crucial decade.

The UnConference uses a method of convening called ‘open space technology’. Participants propose and manage their own agenda of parallel working sessions, meaning the collective power of all of participants is used to bring new ideas to the discussion.

Topics to explore include:

  • What can we learn from success stories of effective collaboration on climate and nature action from around the world?
  • What kinds of novel partnerships across sectors and geographies can accelerate and expand progress?
  • How can we ensure collaboration, rather than isolationism, thrives in an era of national and geopolitical turbulence

Please note this event is usually oversubscribed and we will confirm registrations in early September.

By registering for this event, attendees agree to our Code of Conduct, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming space for diverse perspectives and debate.
