What are the implications of the Integrated Review for diplomatic, strategic, military and industrial cooperation with the continent?

This virtual roundtable will bring together European experts to discuss the state of play for the UK’s new foreign and defence policies, after the publication of the Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy and that of the Defence Command Paper.

Professor John Bew, Prime Minister’s Special Advisor for Foreign Policy and Integrated Review lead, and Angus Lapsley, Director General Strategy and International at the Ministry of Defence, will present these key documents and provide insights on the UK’s new strategic priorities.

Participants will discuss the changing shape of the UK foreign and security policy and the implications of the Review for diplomatic, strategic, military and industrial cooperation with the continent.

Discussions will also take stock of the UK’s new vision for sustaining strategic advantage through science and technology and for shaping the open international order, including through its Indo-Pacific ‘tilt’
